BENEFITS OF READING GOD'S WORD
Reading and meditating on God’s Word daily will renew your mind. A renewed mind will change the circumstances and situations of your life. A renewed mind will create an atmosphere of success for you. The Lord told Joshua, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8.
Start right now, today, create a consistent bible reading time. Set a reminder to spend time daily in reading God’s Word, even if its before bed and stay committed to reading and meditating on God’s Word. The key to success is found in God’s Word.
GOD'S WORD IS FOREVER ESTABLISHED
God’s Word is forever settled in heaven (period). When you speak and declare God’s Word, you are not just speaking words from a book. You are speaking the revealed Word of God that governs both the heavens and the earth. It is the WORD and WILL of God written down for you. It is His bond—which means its absolute and unbreakable. “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”. Isaiah 55:11.
Start today declaring God’s Word. God’s Word is alive and active. When you speak and declare God’s Word, it goes into your spirit and changes (renews) your mind. It creates the spiritual force called faith, which in turn draws His promises (provisions) into your life.
GOD'S WORD HAS COVENANT PROMISES
Because God cannot lie, you can approach His promises with full assurance. “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us.” Hebrews 6:18.
God’s Word contains His binding and unbreakable covenant promises. Rather than just casual statements, these are solemn, sworn agreements initiated by God Elohim. From the eternal promises made to Noah, Abraham, and David, to the ultimate New Covenant in Jesus, God commits His own character to fulfill them. “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised;” Hebrews 10:23.
All the provisions God offered Israel—wealth, protection, health and success—are yours through Jesus Christ. “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29). It is an everlasting covenant (agreement, contract).
